Who are we?

Aplpip (say it apple pip) began in the midst of the pandemic with the saving of a barn which had reached a point where it was critically in danger of falling down.

This process of gathering the barn together, reinforcing, recladding and recognising what is still strong whilst weathering uncontrollable storms reflects the core ethos of Aplpip.

Founded by Arabee Beveridge, an artist, student and mother, Aplpip is a space which acknowledges the need for change, that is inclusive and non-judgemental, and encourages and nurtures practice that might otherwise be in danger of being swamped by the needs of others.  It is an Ark and a Channel through which artists can pass using their time here in production, research and exchange of ideas.  Much like a planted apple pip, we are in a constant state of evolving and growing and are open to ideas presented by artists for installations, projects and collaborations, but can also provide a tranquil contemplative space for those who need.

We are situated in North Dorset near Gillingham, just 15 mins from Hauser & Wirth and 25 mins from Messums, Tisbury.
